Explore unique photographic styles with the best wildlife viewing you won’t find anywhere else.  The South Luangwa National Park, Zambia (9050 km²) is one of Africa´s last unspoilt wilderness areas with over 40 kinds of mammals and 400 bird species: A true paradise for nature lovers and photographers! Specialist photographic safaris take place within the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia in open (4×4) safari vehicles or on foot, accompanied by a professional guide and armed escort scout.   You will stay in one of the few Zambia lodges that is very closely located to the entrance of the South Luangwa National Park with the advantage that we can be one of the first that enters the park for us to be privileged with the first sightings in the area.  Our guides have extensive know-how and experience and will do their utmost to satisfy your wishes. However, at all times your safety will be their first concern.
 
We offer various options of accommodation in South Luangwa, on the banks of the Luangwa River only a few minutes from the main gate of the South Luangwa National Parks. , all reflecting the rustic theme of ’ Simply safari escape’.
The Camp is open 12 months a year and so is the South Luangwa National Park. Although most travel books will encourage travelers to visit South Luangwa between May and November (dry season) there are many advantages to travel in the emerald season (November till April); the most colorful season of the year!
 
Kirsten Gottenkieny and Peter Geraerdts, run the safari camp that is specialized in photographic safaris. Our comfortable accommodation and relaxed atmosphere will make you feel at home. Explore the surrounding wilderness of the Luangwa valley with us by open safari vehicles during the day, or join us on a night drive, one of Luangwa’s highlights, looking for nocturnal animals. The South Luangwa National Park is famous for its leopard sightings! And the more adventurous can join us on our walking safaris, our experienced guides accompany you throughout the safaris. Spend the day at our camp, floating in our centrally located elevated swimming pool with unrivalled views, or have a massage treatment to relax the body and mind.
