Spend 2 nights exploring the Victoria Falls on foot and from the air and 2 nights relaxing on a luxury houseboat on the Chobe River
Day 1
We will collect you from Livingstone Airport and transfer you through the town of Livingstone to your lodge on the Zambezi River where you will spend 2 nights enjoying the sights and sounds of Zambia. You can choose between a budget lodge or a luxury lodge centrally located in-between Livingstone town and The Victoria Falls. The lodges boasts fantastic facilities catering to a traveler’s every need. You can spend your first afternoon relaxing and exploring the nearby hotels or opt to go on a sundowners cruise (optional extra) or simply relaxing and enjoying the view.
Day 2
On your 2nd day, you will be collected bright and early for your minute microlight or helicopter flight over the falls. It’s a brilliant experience and worth purchasing the DVD afterward. From there, you can return to the lodge for breakfast and then visit the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls.
The wide, basalt cliff over which the falls thunder, transforms the Zambezi from a placid river into a ferocious torrent cutting through a series of dramatic gorges. Facing the Falls is another sheer wall of basalt, rising to the same height, and capped by mist-soaked rain forest. A path along the edge of the forest provides the visitor prepared to brave the tremendous spray, with an unparalleled series of views of the Falls. One special vantage point is across the Knife-edge Bridge, where visitors can have the finest view of the Eastern Cataract and the Main Falls as well as the Boiling Pot, where the river turns and heads down the Batoka Gorge. Other vantage points include the Falls Bridge, Devils Pool and the Lookout Tree, both of which command panoramic views across the Main Falls.
From here you can take a walk to one of our stunning lodges along the river path and enjoy a drink and/or meal there. Alternatively, You can walk over the main bridge to the Zimbabwe side of the falls and stop in at the Bridge Cafe for a drink/bite to eat on the way and watch the adrenalin seeking bungee jumpers. Once you have seen the Zimbabwe side of the Falls, you can taxi back to the lodge in Zambia or we will arrange road transfers.
The Victoria Falls Bridge was the inspiration of Cecil Rhodes, who was reported to have said: “build the Bridge across the Zambezi where the trains, as they pass, will catch the spray of the Falls”. This was part of Rhodes’ unfulfilled Cape to Cairo railway scheme. He never actually visited the Victoria Falls, and died before construction of the Bridge even began. Today one of the Victoria Falls Bridge’s main attractions are historical guided tours focusing on the construction of the Bridge, and which include a walking tour under the main deck. On the Zambian side, there is a small museum about the Bridge which is free to enter and has a cafe selling refreshments. Also located on the bridge is the Shearwater 111 meter (364 ft) bungee jump including a bungee swing and zip-line. There is also a railway museum in Livingstone, with several old steam trains, and is a good source of information for railway enthusiasts.
Day 3 & 4
You will check out of your lodge/hotel and we will then transfer you to the River Immigration Office in Botswana where you will be met by a safariboat representative who will assist with your luggage whilst you complete the necessary formalities. You will then board the tender boat which will take you to Impalila Island on the island to the border control offices and you will complete the necessary Namibian formalities. Once the formalities are completed, you will be transferred by tenderboat to your safari boat. Welcome to two nights of relaxation!

Smaller tender boats skippered by our knowledgeable guides accompany the safari boats on all of their travels ensuring that each guest has the freedom to partake in any excursions or activities that are best suited to their own personal needs including Tiger Fishing, Guided walks on Impalila Island, game viewing excursions, bird watching and sundowner cruises.
Day 5
You will check out and transfer you to Kasane Immigration where you will be met by your road transfer to Kasane Airport. Here we bid you farewell.
